Biography:

Theresearch interest of Doc. Zhai is focused on preparation andelectrocatalytic application of carbon-based composite electrodematerials. A series of achievements have been acquired in theexploitation of advanced air oxidation technology for development ofenergy-efficient wastewater treatment and resource recovery fromenvironmental pollutants. The idea by using electric field to inducethe activation of O2has been proposed and confirmed, and novel electrocatalytic wet airoxidation and electro-Fenton like technologies have been developedfor effective and energy-efficient treatment of environmentalpollutants. In-situ resource recovery sulfur and electric energy fromhydrogen sulfide has been realized by taking advantage of air-cathodefuel cell technology. These works have been extensively introducedand recommended by famous researchers on top magazines in the fieldof environment, engineering and electrochemistry. Doc. Zhai is leaderof National Natural Science Fund Project, Anhui Provincial Key R&DProgram project, and Natural Science Fund Project. Doc. Zhai haspublished more than 50 papers and been authorized more than 10invention patents.
